A Course Of Spiritual Annihilation

The scriptures say that God will heap unto us leaders according to your own heart. One thing is for sure, the word of God will stand true in every situation. In recent years we have without a doubt seen the leaders of this country go to a place where they have no problem with calling the truth a lie, and embracing every falsehood. This state of being has set our nation on a literal course of spiritual annihilation. But the problem is not in our leaders. For they are reflection of everything in the heart of the people. So how do we reconcile the course of our nation back to God? Just like the lack of love for the truth set this nation on a course of confusion, so must the revelation of truth be the foundation of restoration.

The reality of it all is accept that the people of God come into a place where they pray with a diligent intercession for the nation, our hopes of restoration are minimalized. Now here’s the problem. Most of the body of Christ do in fact believe that they are praying fervently for the fulfillment of God’s will. But because of the existence of social, moral, and flesh endeavors within their lives they are on able to be the vessels of intercession that they are called to be. When you’re in a job there are certain standards and requirements that are required of you, the same stands for going into a state of prayer. Because of a lack of understanding of how to present yourself to God in prayer many remain unheard.

II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The greatest issue we have as a people is the pride and arrogance we bear that causes us to believe that all things relating to God are about what we want. We even go to him in prayer as if he were a stepfather that needs to earn our love and consideration by keeping his promises. Full of pride and a state of privilege we come to him in prayer but not an honor, respect, and reverential fear. Not being concerned with what he has to say, what he wants, or what he’s doing; we make our petition known because that’s all that matters to us. The verse begins by saying if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray. But even before we begin praying where and a disposition of disobedience.

Seek my face and turn from your wicked ways has a profound reasoning. We will go before God in prayer believing that as we enter in he will be there. Desiring to see him looking back at us. As a small child whenever an adult entered the room to encounter us doing something we shouldn’t have been, our response was always turning away from what we were doing to align to the will of the one that we knew had authority over us. Through the impartation of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to walk in the perfection of Christ. Not perfected through the flesh, but with a perfect desire to fulfill the will of God. Even as Christ revealed in the garden when he said if there is anyway let this cup pass from me, but nevertheless your will and not mine. He showed us how the flesh did not desire the will of God but the heart was perfected in its hopes to please them. I can honestly say that most of Christianity today will seek God in prayer on a daily basis, and have no indication of turning from their wicked ways. If you seek the face of God, you will find him looking down on you. So why is there still sinful nature in your life that you’re asking for forgiveness for literally every day. Things that you do bearing no remorse or conviction, but it’s okay because you can ask for forgiveness over and over and over. The Scriptures not only told us to turn away from our wicked ways, but the empowerment to do so was given through the impartation of the Holy Spirit.

The 10th commandment says that we should not bear false witness against our brother. And this is one of the biggest issues within the Fellowship. Discussions bearing insinuations of what we believe is going on in the life of another, but yet we can’t stop to really discern the small things that may be a hindrance in our own relationship with the father. When it says turn from your wicked ways we see wicked as being greatly perverse, therefore we can’t see the small things in our own life. But with God all sinful nature is wicked. The question is will you search yourself with a clean heart, with a clean intent, and with a humble endeavor. That you might be received before the throne of God with power and authority to petition not only your desires but the will of the father upon men as well.

If you bear a clean heart you no longer walk in sinful nature, for the works of the flesh have been set aside. It does not mean that the flesh is perfected, but it means that you walk in the perfection of desire to please God. Your compromised acts are no longer acts of sin but simply iniquities, which means gross and unfair behavior. We know this is so because we no longer commit acts of old behavior without becoming remorseful and convicted. Now sins passed are permanently forgiven once and for all because they are in fact since passed, and not sins repeated; needing daily forgiveness.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

If you are walking in the fulfillment of sinful nature you are constantly in a state of being unforgiven. Because the moment that you commit that sin you are in a spiritual wilderness until you ask for forgiveness. Once again let me say that if you see the face of God you will find him watching you. And these verses told us that when we find him watching us, we must turn from our wicked ways. The nation is in a place where it is on a catastrophic course, except that there be true intercession from the people of God. But who are the people of God except those who go before him in prayer with the state of humility, seeking his face and being delivered from their wicked ways.

It is through the blood of Jesus, and by these that the Holy Spirit hears from heaven for the forgiveness of sin, and for the healing of our land.
